Madhya Pradesh’s 16th Legislative Assembly will have 2 Muslim MLAs, slightly remains same like 2018 when 2 MLAs were elected.There are 230 members of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, who are directly elected from constituencies with a single seat. Out of that 2 members are Muslim by religion. Which is 0.87% of total MLA’s of the state.

With a population of 47 Lakh, Muslims constitute 6.57 per cent of Madhya Pradesh’s total 7.2 crore population. But Muslim Representation in it’s Legislative Assembly is mere 0.87% compared to its 6.57% Population.

01. Arif Masood

Indian politician Arif Masood is connected to the Indian National Congress. Representing the 153 Bhopal Madhya Assembly constituency, he is a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In 2018, he was elected as an Indian National Congress MLA for the first time to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In 2023 assembly election, He defeated his nearest rival Dhruv Narayan Singh From Bharatiya Janata Party by margin of 15891 votes. Arif Masood got Total 82371 Votes while Runner Up Dhruv Narayan Singh got 66480 Votes.

02. Atif Arif Aqueel

Atif Arif Aqueel is son of Ex MLA Atif Aqueel. He is Graduate Professional.He done BE Civil Engineering from Jai Narain College of Technology & Science, Bhopal, RGPV University in the year 2013. In 2023 assembly election, He defeated his nearest rival Alok Sharma From Bharatiya Janata Party by margin of 26987 votes. Atif Arif got Total 96125 Votes while Runner Up Alok Sharma got 69138 Votes.
